Vietnamese Meals on Wheel Vendor Contract Opportunities

The Vietnamese MOW vendor contract expires September 30, 2010, which means that the Department of Purchasing and Supply Management (DPSM) will be sending out a Request for Proposals (RFP) in the spring to a long list of prospective Vietnamese vendors in the communnity.

 

To ensure a fair bidding process, I would like to ask if you or someone you know may be interested in becoming a Meals on Wheels vendor. Please send me the:

  1. Name of business
  2. Contact name
  3. Email address
  4. Telephone number.

Please respond no later than Friday, March 26, 2010 so that DPSM has enough time to update their database.

Apply now for the NFIB Young Entrepreneur Foundation is accepting applications for the 2010 NFIB Young Entrepreneur Awards.  Beginning midnight, October 31 through 11:59 p.m., December 31, 2009, any high school senior graduating in 2010 may apply online for a chance to win a scholarship valued from $1,000-$10,000.

NFIB Young Entrepreneur Awards are open to any graduating high school senior entering their freshman year fall 2010 at an accredited (not for profit) two- or four-year university, college or vocational/technical institute.

As the emerging field of social enterprise gathers momentum, it is sparking a fundamental rethinking of the tools and organizational structures used to promote the common good. The Catherine B. Reynolds Foundation Fellowships in Social Entrepreneurship are designed to equip individuals for national leadership positions that bring the real-world insights of management and entrepreneurship to bear on social problems. Candidates for this fellowship are chosen from among the applicants to Harvard’s “public service” schools: the Graduate School of Education, the School of Public Health, or the John F. Kennedy School of Government. In addition to gaining admission to one of these schools, successful candidates must also have demonstrated experience in tackling social problems.
